T-2 Weeks #chpaguera
Monday
Rest Day. Well needed after 22 days solid training and only the 2nd zero carded for September (a record I think)! Actually felt good after this, starting to feel a big leggy with things picking up and sleep / nutrition has not been great and something to start addressing!
Tuesday
am) Swim - 2 x 1km at MOG pool. No watch but felt pretty good and relaxed. Session is about technique and I felt good. Pool volume is paying off, I may not be getting stacks faster but I do feel a hell of a lot stronger.
pm) Run - MP session with Rich & Dan. Done this from St Ives track as we wanted to watch DC v Turner. Was a shame that Mr T wimped out with the sniffels ;) Session went 2 MP (6.31/mm), 1 HMP (6.01/mm) 7.57/mm, 1 @ 10K (5.46/mm), 7.58/mm, 2 MP (6.33/mm) Really good session and felt pretty comfortable at paces.
Wednesday
Bike - Turbo session
15 mins @ 115bpm + 5 mins @ 140bpm 10 mins easy @ 110bpm 15 mins @ 120bpm+ 5 mins @ 150bpm (155 max) 20 mins easy @ 105 bpm
Started trying to build HR and warm up was so bloody hard I decided to make it rep 1!
Worked really, really hard on those 5 min sections so hopefully this is building strength nicely in time.
Later that night on the piss plus a madras for dinner!
Thursday
am) Swim - 10 x 100m. Same standard Thursday swim. Funny that this session feels tougher than Fridays! Got through OK but wasn't quick and felt tired.
pm) 5 miles easy. Felt OK, bumped into Nic P on his usual smashfest run! Oldest son had trial for Cambridge Swim Club and they've accepted him to a squad trial. FC was good, BS amazing, Fly standard but his backstroke is is achillies heal !!
Friday
am) Swim - #redmist. 10 x 400 with 1 recovery. Tough mental session but banked it pretty well. Gets easier after 7!
pm) Bike - Turbo Session
10 wu @ 110 bpm 10 @ 150 bpm (rising) 15 easy 105 bpm 10 @ 150 bpm (147-155) 15 easy
2nd 10 mins was agony! Great session and worked really hard.
Saturday
Run - HR test
Spent all day at Lego Land where it shit down with rain non-stop! Hit the bricks for a run and wanted to do something that stretched the legs a bit without killing me.
1.00 @ 7.25 - 141 bpm 1.00 @ 6.35 - 150 bpm 1.00 @ 6.06 - 155 bpm 1.00 @ 6.08 - 159 bpm 1.00 @ 6.58 - 147 bpm

Sunday
am) Bike - long easy ride with Rich and Ady. 53 miles @ 18.6 mph. Mainly easy with 10 miles off and through at about 23 avge. elt good and strong today.
pm) Run - 10 miles shuffle with Dan. After having 12 kids over for my 7 y.o kids party I hit the bricks with Dan. Legs were really tired and this was pretty brutal. Avge just over 8s for a social run but was glad to get the week ticked off.

Pleased with that. Rest day in there too so proper solid weeks training in the bag. Starting to feel race ready and need to take on the adaptions to training so key for next week is to make sure I'm fully rested between sessions/
