Frustration of the long distance runner

Easy 7 - 8 slow and easy miles with the bear yesterday. Leg was a bit grumpy but not painful.  Hamstring is very tight at the minute, aiming to trigger that off and see if that helps.

Certainly believe that the issue is some hip tightness / alignment / pinching that's causing everything.

Today have done a solid amount of rolling and stretching. Pain in the arse is that I seem to have aggravated my upper back a bit so that's tight. Bit of tretching there has eased it off a bit but seem to have slept awkwardly or something.

At this stage the only real option is rest to let everything settle. Not even going to bike until it feels ready. I'll keep up the stretching and rolling to make sure everything checks out but we're going nowhere fast as we stand.

Frustrating situation, feels like I'm not far off getting into half decent shape but that's old age I guess !!

Aims are still the same - trying to get into half decent shape early Jan. Just need a run of consistency - 3 / 4 weeks of 6 days a week running will pull it back. No idea if it'll happen, maybe this niggle is the end of it all?
