Attempt #6
Wow, big step up.
4 miles @ 7.30/mm @ 154 bpm
Felt kind of OK. Had to focus to relax my glutes and it helped. Def felt better and being able to run 7.30 avge (this miles were 8.01, 7.32, 7.19, 7.09) off a slow up hill start I will take.
HR was comically high at 154 bpm avge with 2 good stops) BUT it's a real start. Rest tomorrow and try for 5 miles Boxing day. If I can get up to 5/6 mile pain free I am back in the game.
Interesting this was pretty much all road in the Pegasus.
Hip is 100% not perfect BUT this is also 100% the best it's been. No loss of power just a slight ache.
Time to go easy, 2-3 weeks of rehab before anything like proper training resumes. It will be at least Feb before anything decent gets done but if I am running 7.30/mm now that's an amazing launch pad.
Could be a brilliant Christmas present (if nothing falls off before Thursday)
Merry Christmas!
