Week of two halves

Couple of easy runs last couple of days. HR low and pace strong.

Really strange week.  Monday - Wednesday pretty dog shit and just couldn't recover.  Few more miles than normal but no reason to feel so pony.

Rested Thursday, then a solid tempo on Friday.  Saturday 6 miles @ 7:15/mm feeling easy and HR low - 142 bpm some of the best figures for years at that pace. Genuinely class that as an easy run which for pace is outrageous.

Today, took the boys to Frostbite in the morning and had a bit of a hangover.  Got out for 10 - longest run since June and 3rd longest run this year lol

Felt pretty decent, again, pace 7:15/mm and HR low.  Felt like I could have gone on for a lot longer too.  First 50 mile week for a few months too.

Really feels like I am coming into form, easy & steady runs are up there with the (few) times I have been really fit.  The sessions are going well, just need to keep an eye on the niggles.  It's been frustrating that I haven't put a marker down that reflects where I think I am but the results have been on the edge of decent.

Managing to get into this shape without pushing it and feeling on the edge.

Changing up the plan this week with regards to sessions, getting some more Daniels style sessions in so I will see how that works out. The plan is to maybe get a Parkrun in on Saturday week and have a check how things are.  Got to be patient when running like this - the targets are next bloody track season lol
