Bunch of cunts

The world is so full of selfish cunts.  If a virus came out that targets selfish, dickhead cunts instead of the elderly (lots fall into both categories) and the vulnerable I don't think many people would bat an eyelid.

Every run I do, I see people flouting the rules, talking, socialising with others.  Even my Dad refuses to take himself away from the world for the benefit of the many.  He smoked 60 a day for years and is 75.  He thinks he's invincible.  What a tit.

Anyways, rant over - we will all be on lockdown 24/7 soon because people cannot obey simple rules designed to protect people's lives.  Fucking spastic cunts.

To be clear, I leave the house once per day to run and keep up social distancing at all possible times!  This house is doing nothing to hep spread this awful virus.

RUNNING!

So, I've decided to try and run as many base miles as I can.  I waffled on about this the other day.

It's been a struggle.  8/mm feels like a battle to just keep wading through the miles.  My legs are tired and heavy.  However today's run - set myself a target of just running very easy at 9/mm if needed - was pretty good.  Relaxed, almost too relaxed at just under 8/mm and 8.5 miles in the bag feeling better.  It's still not a lot of miles but 51.3 in 6 days is a lot for me, biggest streak for years in fact.

Enjoying the trails and an hour is starting to feel a very manageable time on feet.

Set myself a target of 60 miles this week.  It's almost laughable how under-conditioned I am right now but this will pay dividends long term.  Run wise, no pressure (it's about the miles) and have to say I am enjoying just being out and running with no real focus on pace.

Have to admit, the thought of running sub 6/mm is crazy right now but the plan is the plan.

Ideally get up to 70 miles next week, I think that would be a huge step forwards - and then a rest day!

Long term I think 60 miles per week with 2 x quality is the big picture aim with my targets in mind.

TSS is climbing almost 1 point per day up from 39 to 45 in the last week.  That will get to 50 fairly soon and then I am around peak fitness.  Obviously I'll need sessions to get in shape but I am toying with the idea of just keep building the foundations until the season becomes clearer.

60 I think would be a really good point to stop reaching and start peaking so that will require serious time management.

If I had to go full time treadmill right now I think I'd aim at doubling 3 & 4 miles per day for a week.  Not sure I'll be able to ramp up to 8/9 miles per day anytime soon but I think I could get there with doubles.

More s&c is required, that's slipped but need to properly get over the dreaded doms first !
