Lake session

After a cracking start to the week I ruined myself by getting slightly hammered Friday night and fully and totally bollcksed Saturday night.

Saturday was a busy day looking after kids whilst Ange wen't to a lecture for her Uni course and ended up carding a very disappointing zero when I only needed an easy 5.

Today after monging all day on the sofa, dragged myself out with Jake for a session around the lake in Cambourne.  Steady run there and straight into a 3 x float 800s with a lap easy rest.

The 3 hard lap paces came in at 5:27mm, 5:24/mm and 5:23/mm with 7:30/mm laps between.

Pace felt too quick to be honest. Put that down to the hangover but that really needs to feel comfortable for 2:20 of effort going forwards.  Nonetheless a decent repetaable session to build on.

Next week is booked out for Westminster mile.  Really looking forward to it and hoping for anything under 5:10 which should be realistic.
