Week done

Tough week this week. 2 races, lots of tired runs, no sessions but finished on a high.

Mon - REST
Tue - am) 3 easy pm) 1500m Kettering 4.38:93
Wed - 4.35 recovery
Thu - am) 5 steady pm) 7.5 steady
Fri - 6 steady
Sat - 3k - 9.54
Sun - 10 steady @ 6:55/mm

Monday was owed a rest day after 9 days on the bounce.

Tuesday easy run and race.  Race was great, strong warm up and handled the pace in spikes well. Seasons best and moving in the right direction.

Wednesday - things went south. Absolute dogshit was proper fucked. Race took more than expected.

Thursday - am felt bullit proof. pm you could have blown me over with a feather. Properly fucked

Friday - steady run after dropping the lad off in town. Hot and felt shit. Legs not happy.

Saturday - race 3k. Started ok but went south. Not great, certainly not what I wanted but not a total disaster. Legs still fucked from Tuesday

Sunday - boom, wore the next % for first time and plodded a 6.55/mm 10 off very consistent splits. Easiest 10 and 7s have felt for many many moons.  Decent end to the week.

41.6 miles, 389 TSS, 2 races.

Need to get on a consistent block of training now. 6 races in 15 days and I'm just feeling a little race heavy.  Adaptions still to be had and certainly today it felt like I could run 7s on every run - a day after a 3k track race I think that is bang on.

So next week the plan is set.  Get some track speed in the legs (proper speed) build in longer threshold efforts on Thursday and build around that.  No planned races now for 3 weeks or so and hopefully see the times come down!
