Aaaaand Repeat ....

Day 1.  No shakeout this morning, foot wasn't 100% and zero point taking any risks at the minute.

Wanted to open the legs a little and push on.  I love tourist miles like Sunday runs but sometimes they leave you wondering if that's all you can do!

So laced up the next% for their first run.  Out of the gate, foot wasn't overly happy.  Same route as last week.  About 6:57 for the first mile.  Hit by the headwind as soon as I turn at the lake.  Bloody hell!  Cuts me in half.

HR rises.  Stop in usual place.  Fancy a piss but too many people around so I carry on.  Stop at the very high point on the way out and tighten the shoes.  Foot is grumbling.  Wind behind and all on road to lower now and the pace is good, around 6:15/mm for this.  HR high but feel very relaxed and comfortable.

Down to lower, stop at the bench and loosen shoes.  Need to drop HR too as it's the drag uphill and no point hitting 5k HR lol

Start again and foot feels much, much better (no ache at all from here to home).  Noticeably stronger on the hill - trails and hill km rps paying off already - pace continues to drop.  By home avge pace is down to 6:31/mm but forget to stop it crossing the road then actually stop it unstead of starting it.  Realise fairly quickly but about a minute lost of stop / walk.  Avge pace up to 6:36/mm lol

Finish up with 6.26 miles @ 6:36 avg feeling pretty relaxed to be fair.

Happy days, as long as tomorrows session is good then it's a decent improvement to form.  Coming together but still a way off where I was at last years best.
